During this massage the practitioner uses long, slow strokes, and kneading to induce the client into a deep state of relaxation. Swedish is a wonderful massage for those that are overstressed and overworked, which includes almost everyone. This massage will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. |
Deep Tissue - This massage is aimed at the deeper muscle tissue, using penetrating finger pressure on contracted areas. Deep tissue can be helpful in relieving acute and chronic aches and pains. Sufferers of Fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, and carpal tunnel are finding Deep Tissue massage to be quite therapeutic. With deep tissue massage practitioner will at times, need to use a great deal of pressure in specific areas to help alleviate muscle tightness and “knots.” Be sure to keep an open line of communication with your therapist, the treatment might be uncomfortable at times, but it should never be painful.

Hot stone massage combines Swedish massage strokes performed with warm stones. The heat from the stones help warm up muscles and relax them faster than a traditional massage.
